About the Pilgrimage

Every year, usually in August, 40 to 60 people assemble in the same place armed with all manner of sleeping equipment, blister treatment packs and walking gear for the sole purpose of walking along a planned route through the countryside, following the path taken by a saint, or to a place like Canterbury or St Michael's Mount. Although it is organised by the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton, it is ecumenical, meaning that anyone can go whatever they believe, as long as they respect the Christian faith.

It has been running for more than 25 years, so many of the pilgrims will have been coming for years, and know each other very well.

Pictures

These pictures were kindly supplied by Fred Adilz and his digital camera. More will hopefully be added soon.

Myself and Patrick Reeves, on the last day; "No way are you going to chuck me in that canal. This is my dad's camera, this is!"

My father; "Hey, I can see my house from here!"

Again, my father; "[funny caption]"

If anyone feels that they would like to add anything or suggest improvements etc, you can reach me at [email protected]. Feedback will be posted on a separate page as soon as I get any.
